Test Engineer Intern Responsibilities
Shown are key contributions as my time as a Test Engineer Intern.

HMMWV Testing
During my internship with Army Research I worked in a technical support capacity focused on vehicle-level testing and instrumentation for military platforms, primarily the unarmored HMMWV systems. My responsibilities centered on assisting with the installation and integration of test hardware, which included routing and terminating wiring, connecting sensors and instrumentation, and supporting the setup of data acquisition systems used during testing. This work required close adherence to engineering instructions, test procedures, and safety requirements to ensure reliable and repeatable data collection.
I participated directly in test execution activities, supporting engineers during live testing by monitoring instrumentation performance, identifying issues with connections or signal integrity, and assisting with troubleshooting as needed. In parallel, I contributed to documentation and record-keeping efforts by helping capture test configurations, results, and observations, ensuring that test data and setup information were properly recorded for downstream analysis and reporting. This role provided practical exposure to applied engineering work in a defense context, emphasizing disciplined execution, attention to detail, and an understanding of how mechanical systems, electrical instrumentation, and test objectives come together in real-world validation environments.
